Ground inspection tour:MoALI UM took ground inspection tour in Mon State

The Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung visited KanKaLay Garden farm of Horticulture and Biotechnology Division under the Department of Agriculture in Mudon Township of Mon State in the morning on 18th March, heard the clarfications of farm in-charge regarding with implementation for the development of horticulture cultivation technology, producting and distributing pedigree seeds and saplings, development of applied research works and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Organic technical dissemination, gave necessary instructions and inspected the plantatons of Durian and Cassava.

Next, the responsible officials from State Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics clarified the land management work process for the land area where a New International Airport Construction Project near Mawlamyine Township and the Union Minister gave necessary instruction.

Then, the Union Minister inspected the distribution of Rubber seeds of Perennial Trees Research and Technical Development Farm (Mudon) under the Perennial Crops Division and gave instruction to the responsible officials.

The Union Minister also inspected water inflow into the Azin (အဇင်း) Dam in Mudon Township, strength of embankment, supplying irrigation water for the paddy, horticultural crops and cultivation areas and gave necessary instruction to the officials.

Similarly, Union Minister inspected research plantation of durian of local and international strains in Azin farm under the Department of Agricultural Research and distribution of rubber sapplings propagated with budding method and rubber plantation of grafting propagation methods, rubber research works, palm oil research works and experimental plantation of Coco among the rubbers trees in perennial research and technical development farm under the department of agriculture in Mawlamyine and gave necessary instructions.
