HEALTH CARE SERVICES: 20 NURSES FROM SHAN STATE (SOUTH) DISPATCHED TO YANGON

As the number of COVID-19 confirmed patients are on the increase in Yangon region day by day, 20 nurses from the Shan State (South) have been dispatched to the hospitals in Yangon Region on Monday morning to provide health care services in COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures.

9 nurses from the hospitals under the State Medical Service and Public Health Department in Shan State South, 10 nurses from the Women’s and Children’s Hospital and 1 instructor from the Midwifery Training School (Taunggyi), altogether 20 were sent to Yangon, according to the Shan State (South) Medical Service Department.

On 22nd September, a total of 20 nurses from Sao San Tun hospital in Taunggyi and from Shan State (South) were sent to temporary hospitals in Yangon for the 1st time.

This is the 2nd time and the State Medical Service and Public Health Department and the concerned hospitals provided assistance to the nurses who will take duties as volunteers to Yangon.
