Heavy rains cause flooding along Han River near Seoul

Heavy rains in South Korea caused flooding in some areas and submerged parkways along the Han River. Torrential rain has wreaked destruction across the country since the beginning of the month. Since Friday, more than 3,700 people have been displaced from their homes after flooding in the country's hardest-hit southern region. In all, nearly 6,000 people have been evacuated from their homes across the country this month, with about 4,600 of them staying at temporary shelters. South Korea has been inundated by weeks of heavy rain that have caused widespread flooding, recording 31 deaths since the start of the month.
