IAF assists in operation to douse forest fire in Uttarakhand

In response to the raging forest fires at Pauri Garhwal sector in the northern state of Uttrakhand in India, Indian Air Force (IAF) provided the much needed relief by undertaking Bambi Bucket operation by its Mi17 V5 helicopters. Over 4,500 liters of water was used to douse the fires in close coordination with Uttarakhand government. The operation was conducted on Tuesday with prompt action from both IAF and the state government.
