Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods and timbers confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 15th, 18th, 20th and 21st of August, illegal fuel and teak as well as illegal goods including car spare parts, beer, vegetable cooking oil, jean short pants and illegal timbers worth over 146 million Kyats were confiscated in Monywa township and  on Mandalay- Pyin Oo Lwin-Lashio-Muse road as well as at the Yepu permanent checkpoint and in Waw township and in Bago and Taungoo districts.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
