Illegal Trade: Illegal Goods, Vehicle And Timber Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

From the 26th to the 28th of September, illegal consumer goods, cosmetic products, motorbike parts, edible oil, sandal, timber, vehicle, goods, teak and sawn ironwood were seized at the Port Container Checkpoints in Yangon and in Lewei and Ottarathiri townships, at the Kyweye Combined Checkpoint of Monywa township, at the Pauktine Bridge Checkpoint in Tanintharyi Region, in Magyisin village of Pathein township and on the Yangon-Mawlamyine Road in Kyaikhto township as well as in Bago, Toungoo and Thayawaddy districts. In total, illegal goods, vehicle and timber worth over 205 million Kyats were seized.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
