Illegal Trade: Illegal Goods, Vehicles And Timber Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 25th and 26th of September, illegal frozen meat, consumer goods, industrial materials, timber, vehicles and animal feed were seized at Taninthayi Bridge Checkpoint and in Mon State, in Aunglan township, in Lewe township, in Monywa township and at the Myawaddy (OSS) Trade Zone as well as in Bago and Toungoo districts.

In total, illegal goods, vehicles and timber worth over 81 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
