Illegal trade: Timbers, edible oil, industrial materials, vehicles seized

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

On 1st November, a combine team led by the Yangon International Anti-Illegal Trade Special Task Force seized the Shole Laces and industrial materials expired 60 days arriving before license permission at Yangon International Airport warehouse. 

On 2nd November, a combined team led by Tatmataw under the management of Taninthayi Region Anti-Illegal Trade Special Task Force confiscated 2.990 tons of sown timbers in various size on a vehicle near ThaBook Village on Myein-Yangon Road in Myeik Township and Dump Truck loaded them.

On 3rd November, a combined inspection team seized Kenbo 125 motor cycle with license in Monywa. An on-duty team arrested covers of fire extinguished pipe without official document on a vehicle headed to Yangon from Myawady at Kawtkarait (Tadakyo) combines check point. An on-duty team at Mayanchaung permanent check point seized 4140 liters of cooking oil undeclared on the Import Declaration form and a Cheng Long branded motor vehicle carried them headed to Yangon from Myawady.

Therefore, eight arrests (approximately 107.182 million Kyats) were made on three consecutive days from 1st to 3rd November, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
