Impact of COVID-19: Working Committee Meets to Address Impact

The 4th meeting of Working Committee to address the impact of COVID-19 on the national economy was held on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Aung Naing Oo and attended by members of the working committee and representatives of the Ministries concerned.

In the meeting, the Chairman highlighted that State Administration Council had rectified the terms of reference (TOR) of the Working Committee for more effective implementation. The Chairman also discussed further processing measures on policy making, liberalization and streamlining of procedures, coordination and cooperation among the ministries in accordance with the Committee’s functions to assist smooth operation of the businesses.

The meeting also discussed relief measures carried out by concerned ministries, future plan of actions and issues raised by the business community.
