Information Sector: Deputy Minister Makes Inspection in Shan State

The Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint met the staff officer and staff of the Information and Public Relations Department in Naungcho Township of the northern Shan State on September 19. After the meeting there, the Deputy Minister inspected the Naungcho Retransmission Station.

On September 20, the Deputy Minister met with the Kyaukme District staff officer and Kyaukme, Monglon and Mong Ngaw townships staff officer of the Information and Public Relations Department at the District office in Kyaukme and stressed essential procedures. He also inspected the Kyaukme Retransmission Station.

Also, the Deputy Minister met concerned officials at Hsipaw township office and inspected the Retransmission Station in Hsipaw and gave necessary instructions.

The Deputy Minister also met the northern Shan State joint staff officer and staff of the Information and Public Relations Department, Lashio District office staff and town elders and leaders from Namtu, Mongyai and Tangyang townships, engineers from Lashio Township Retransmission Station, and officials from Lashio, Muse, Kunlong, Theinni, Kutkai, Namhtu, and Laukkai, and Lashio sub-printing house of newspaper and gave instructions.

He also visited the Lashio Community Centre and called for arrangements to provide better services to the public if the COVID-19 outbreak is reduced.

On September 21, the Deputy Minister inspected the Lashio Retransmission Station and sub-printing house of newspaper and met with the staff. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister called for information to be disseminated to the public and to give correct knowledge to young people.

The staff should continue to implement the ongoing COVID-19 prevention and control alert, he added. Matters relating to peace, stability and unity in the country were also discussed. He also urged the attendees to resume the information and public relations work when all the conditions return to normality.
