Inle Traditional Boat Race: A celebration of culture and skill

The Inle Traditional Boat-Rowing Competition is celebrated to mark the return of the Inle Hpaung Daw Oo Buddha Images. Local ethnic people actively participate in the competitions, supported by thousands of attendees.
The preliminary matches and the final competition were held on 1st November, featuring 4 teams of Men's over 100-oar, 4 teams of Men's 46-oar, 2 teams of Women's 26-oar, 2 teams of students' 46-oar, and 4 teams of individual students.
In the traditional Innthar boat races, contestants row their boats using their legs with full determination and motivation. The winning teams from the final competitions were presented with awards by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye, Commander of Eastern Command Major General Hla Moe, State Ministers, and other officials.
