Inspection of Investments: Union Minister Makes Inspection in Yangon Region

The Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Aung Naing Oo visited the Anita Asia Garment Industry operating under the permission of the Myanmar Investment Commission in North Okkalapa Township on Thursday afternoon.

The responsible personnel from the industry explained the operational procedures of the industry, acceptance of orders, operational challenges and the upcoming plans of the industry.

The Union Minister fulfilled the requirements of the industry. The Union Minister also visited the rice mill of Ayeyar Prince Trading Company Limited in Hlinethaya Township.
The responsible personnel of the industry explained the investment matters, rice mill operational procedures, products export condition and contract farming implementation.
The Union Minister urged the responsible personnel to improve the productivity of the industry and inspected the industry. Also, at Kanaung Hall of the Shwelinpan Industrial Zone, the Union Minister held a meeting with the businessmen investing in Hlinethaya industrial zone.

The chairman of the Shwelinpan Industrial Zone Management Committee, General Secretary, Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of the Industrial Zones in Yangon Region and the investors discussed the current activities of the industries, matters regarding banking and finance, reoperation of the burned and damaged factories, shipping, insurance, tax exemption, loans and the standards of the industries.

After hearing the discussions, the Union Minister coordinated the difficulties and explained the plans regarding the reoperation of the burned and damaged factories, cooperation between the ministries regarding with the investment matters, allowance of Covid-19 loan for the reoperation of the industries, improvement of Agricultural and Small and Medium Enterprises, facilitation of the import and export processes, simplification of procedures of the ministries, online services improvement, services to the existing permitted industries, investment barrier reduction and transparency improvement.
