Inspection of oil mills: MoI UM inspected oil mills in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area

Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than inspected the oil mills in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Saturday.
During the inspection, the Union Minister said that the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister has given the guidance for the Ministries of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, and Industry to conduct the oil-sufficiency for domestic consumption.
To ensure the oil-sufficiency, it is necessary to expand the cultivation of edible oil crops, produce the target yield, and lay down the plans for grinding the crops. He pledged that the ministry of Industry will assist to the oil millers to grind the edible oil crop and produce oil fully. Loan from State Economic Promotion Fund has been disbursed for the development of the oil mill industry.
The Union Minister also instructed the oil millers to reduce oil remaining in the meal of oilseeds for increasing production of edible oil, ensuring economic feasibility and using animal feed.
Next, the Union Minister arrived at the Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection where he instructed the officials to inspect the ground condition of registered oil mills, to distribute the methods of high-quality oil to the entrepreneurs and fulfill the requirement of the oil millers to fully grind the crops produced in Nay Pyi Taw Council area.
