Inspection tour: MoEP UM inspected Power stations and project

Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun together with the departmental officials on 26th of April arrived at YayPaungSone Power Station where concerned officials reported the update of the station and power distribution. Upon the reports, the Union Minister said in power transmitting, equipment should be checked regularly and maintenance must be conducted not to occur power outages and to reduce the electricity losses. The Union Minister then cordially met with the staff, inspected the electricity distribution in control room and instructed the necessaries.
After that, the Union Minister together with the Shan State Chief Minister proceeded to the Construction Task Force No-5 under the department of Hydropower Implementation in Ayetharyar, Shan State (South) where concerned officials reported the facts and progress of Upper KengTawng Hydropower project and future plans. In his response, the Union Minister said that it is necessary to complete the projects within the scheduled time and machines for the projects are needed to meet the set standards. He added that emphasis will be made not to lose the revenue for the country and everyone should work hard to complete the project as soon as possible for people to be able to access electricity.
Then the Union Minister, Chief Minister and officials cordially met with the staff and fulfilled the requirements. And the Union Minister clarified the facts regarding the People’s Military Service Law.
