Inspection Tour: Union Minister Visits Universities In Yangon

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw visited Technological University, University for Computer Studies, University of Information Technology, Government Technical Institute and Information and Communication Technology Research Center in Yangon on 15th, 16th and 17th August.
During his inspection, the Union Minister met rectors, principals and faculty members and said that the Technological University (Thanlin) is applying the ISO 9001:2015 management system for the internationally recognized Quality Management System and it is also an Associate membership University of ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance(AUN-QA).
The Technological University (Yangon) has received ISO 9001:2015 certification for Quality Management System and also received provisionally accredited and fully accredited certificates of the Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and Pacific (FEIAP). The Universities need to continuously develop the quality assurance they have received.
The universities needs to keep sustainable Quality Management that they have received and the teachers are urged to teach engineering subjects to students practically and theoretically. The Union Minister stressed the needs on Learning Management System (LMS) by applying ICT technology like the international universities and human resource development as well as research and management affairs in line with procedures.
The Union Minister and officials viewed learning of the students, practical and computer rooms, teaching aid, library and workshop and construction tasks of the Government Technical Institute (Thanlyin).
