Inspections in Yangon & Bago: Union Minister for Industry makes inspections

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than on Saturday inspected the Fireproof Cement Board Factory in Hmawbi Township of Yangon Region. There, the Union Minister heard report on history of the Factory, production and plans.

In his response, the Union Minister called for efforts for continuous maintenance of machines and buildings and continuous learning to sharpen skills. He also provided cash assistance for officials and staff of the Factory before viewing round the Factory.

On the same day, in Thayawaddy Township of Bago Region, the Union Minister inspected the No. 34 Heavy Machinery plant, heard report on state of production of ceramics and stressed the importance of quality, market research, training and workplace safety and that producing consumer goods locally can reduce the use of foreign currency and consumers can buy and use them at a low price.

The manufacturing activities must be increased and managed. And, the Union Minister inspected production steps.
