At the invitation of the Indonesia government, the ASEAN alternate chair, Myanmar delegation led by

Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto signed an agreement to purchase 24 units of f-15ex fighter jets from U.S aircraft manufacturer Boeing.

Minister Prabowo and Mark Sears, the vice president and program manager for jet fighters at Boeing, witnessed the MoU signing at the Boeing company headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri, United States.

On the same occasion, the defense minister visited the company’s hangar to look at the units of F-15 EX jet fighters. The signing of the MoU came after Minister Prabowo in November last year met with U.S Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin.

The F-15EX jet fighter is a new variant of the popular F-15 category made by Boeing, and is said to be the most versatile jet fighter in the world currently.
