Issuance Of National Registration Cards: Union Minister Meets Locals In Kyauk Chat Village-Tract

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Khin Yi together with deputy minister U Htaty Hlaing and officials visited Dhamma Thukha Lae Pyin Oo monastery in Kyauk Chat village of Nay Pyi Taw Zeyathiri Township on Wednesday and met locals and town elders in Kyauk Chat village-tract.
At the meeting, the Union Minister said that that the Ministry is carrying out issuing of national registration card which is an evidence for every citizen to have full citizenship rights through Pankhin project.
Currently, the government is implementing the e-ID system in order to change the digital system for the country and in the future, those holding the NRC card will easily connect to the e-ID system. The Union Minister called for relevant ward/village town elders to compile the list for those who do not have NRC cards and contact them with the relevant township offices.
The locals then asked about the issuance of citizenship scrutiny cards and reported the difficulties on which the Union Minister fulfilled the needs. At the ceremony, a total of 335 NRC cards have been issued to the villagers in Kyauk Chat village tract through Pan Khin project phase-2. On the same day, the Union Minister met the staffs from Region, District and Township Staff Officer Offices in Pyinmana Township.
He called for working together with relevant organizations for the completion of the tasks within the target time and stressed on worksite safety, avoiding bribery and undertaking the tasks in line with health guidelines.
