A coordination meeting on the Law Amending the Code of Civil Procedure (Draft) was held at the Union Attorney General Office in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.
Union Attorney General Dr Thida Oo said during the State Administration Council's Management Meeting, held on 8th February, the Council Chairman gave guidance on enacting of laws in cooperation with the faculties from the law departments of respective universities as there are many bills drafted by the respective ministries that still cannot be enacted yet.
According to this guidance, the list of the bills that should be enacted has been submitted to the Council's Administrative Office.
The Law Amending the Code of Civil Procedure (Draft) is to make addition to the Section 89(a).
It is a need for establishment of mediation process in tackling dispute outside the judiciary process of the Supreme Court of the Union. It is also not in conflict with the policies and objectives of the state.
The officials from the Union Attorney General Office and the Supreme Court of the Union later made detailed discussions on the draft of the Law Amending the Code of Civil Procedure Section 89(a).
