Despite being named German Manager of the Year at the weekend, Jurgen Klopp failed to deliver any pre-season hopes for Liverpool fans as his men delivered a flat pre-season performance against Napoli on Sunday.

Goals came thick and fast from Napoli with Lorenzo Insigne scoring at 17' and then ably assisting Arkadiusz Milik a mere 11 minutes later, whilst the victory was sealed by Amin Younes' tap in shortly into the second half. Despite a front row three of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gini Wijnaldum and Divock Origi - as well as a lively debut from 16 year old newly signed Harvey Elliot - the Reds were out of ideas and energy, delivering their worst performance of the summer.
