Martial Law Order 4/2021: Martial Law Imposed in Mindat Township of Chin State

State Administration Council issued Martial Law Order 4/2021 on the 13th of May. It states that in order to further effectively provide security, the rule of law and community peace, the State Administration Council has transferred the executive and judicial power (Martial Law) to the Commander of the North-West Command to exercise the Martial Law in Mindat Township of Chin State under the North-West Command area under Section 419 of the Constitution.

Depending on changing situation in the region, the Commander shall exercise the Martial Law by himself or transfer the power to the military region commanders. The order was signed by Lieutenant-General Aung Lin Dwe, Secretary of the State Administration Council.
