Meeting in Kayah State: SAC members meet religious and people’s militia leaders

A meeting between SAC members and the Union Ministers, religious leaders, people’s militia leaders and peace groups was held at the Kayah State Government Office on Sunday afternoon.

At the meeting, SAC member Saw Daniel said that it is needed to prevail peace together in Kayah State and if there is no peace, regional development can’t be implemented. In order to facilitate economy, social and health activities in the state, public participation is needed as well as the people are necessary to understand the political processes.

Only when peace is prevailed in the state, will the state develop. Later, SAC members U Sai Lone Hsai and U Shwe Kyein extended greetings and religious leaders from interfaith group in Kayah State, people’s militia leaders and peace organizations reported on implementations in the respective sectors and the needs.

The SAC members replied ongoing work processes. Afterwards, SAC member Saw Daniel presented new year commemorative flower baskets to religious leaders and Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung provided cash assistance to officials for the Kayah State Police Force, the people’s militia (permanent) groups, peace organizations, border guard troops and displaced people.

After the ceremony, the SAC members and party cordially greeted those presents. Moreover, the SAC members, the Union Ministers and the State Chief Minister visited the home of the deceased family members of an innocent man who brutally killed by the attack of the KNPP and the so-called PDF terrorists with heavy weapons and comforted them.

They then comforted innocent students and civilians who are receiving medical treatment at Loikaw People’s hospital due to that incident and provided cash assistance.
