The deputy minister of the ministry of industry U Ko Ko Lwin met with the factories employees from no (14, 15 and 26) heavy industry factories at Thargara meeting hall of no (3) industrial training school, Thargara industrial area, Yaytarshay Township, Bago region on Tuesday.
At the meeting, the deputy minister said that the ministry is implementing to stand as a Regulatory Body by carrying out the research works for the development of industrial sector, drafting the standards and norms, establishing laboratories, monitoring and inspecting the industries for the development of industrial zones, the Private Public Partnership-PPP is being transferred by reducing the state-run industries, although the expression of interest (EOI) was invited to cooperate with the private sector for the factories and workshops in Thargara industrial area, there was no application submitted by the private sector.
If the state-owned factories and workshops are requested by a relevant ministry to utilize them for the interest of the state, those will be transferred.
By doing so, only the management and operation system will be changed but the staff will remain to serve their original duties. The industrial training schools need to nurture the industrial skillful workers and up skilling and re skilling should be conducted for the state service personnel etc. Then, the deputy minister coordinated necessaries regarding with the submissions of the staffs, it’s learnt.
