The live action version of "The Lion King" received its European premiere on Sunday. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the premiere. The new version of the film stars Beyonce and Donald Glover as the voices of lions Nala and Simba. It is also recreation of the 1994 film, including much of the original dialogue and Elton John's hit songs. John himself attended the premiere in London and said he was astonished at the new lease of life being given to his songs.

COMPOSER OF THE MOVIE'S SONGS, SIR ELTON JOHN said  "I am just very glad that I was involved in the first one, which is from 1993 I was first involved in it. And it's been a part of my life ever since with the theatrical productions around the world. I must have seen it about 40 times by now."

The movie shows off advanced techniques that blend virtual reality, live action and digital imagery to bring a hyper-real feel to the animals and African settings. The 1994 film was a $968 million global smash that spurred a long-running Broadway stage show and more than 20 international productions. The film is released in the United Kingdom on July 19 and in the United States on July 18.
