Mekong-Lancang Cooperation: Myanmar hosts 10th Senior Officials’ Meeting

Myanmar hosted the 10th Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Senior Officials’ Meeting on Friday at Jasmine Naypyitaw Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.
The meeting was co-chaired by Daw Marlar Than Htaik, Director General of the International Organizations and Economic Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar and Mr. Nong Rong, Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
It was attended by Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, Director General of Economic Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR, Ambassador for Mekong Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam.
After delivering the opening remarks by the Co-chairs, the Heads of Delegation of MLC reviewed the progress of Mekong-Lancang Cooperation and also exchanged views on future MLC cooperation. Mekong-Lancang Cooperation was established in 2016 with an aim to assist regional efforts to achieve sustainable inclusive development and narrow development gaps in the region while promoting peace and prosperity.
Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Thailand and Viet Nam are the members of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation.
