MR to extend special trains: To smooth transport for passengers during Thingyan

Myanma Railways-MR will extend the special trains included Yangon-Mandalay, Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon-Pyay to ensure smooth transports for passengers and government staff during the Thingyan holidays.

On 7th and 8th April, the Yangon-Mandalay special train will depart from Yangon at 7:15 pm. On 8th April, Yangon-Pyay special train will leave Yangon at 1 pm. On 17th April, the Yangon-Nay Pyi Taw special train will depart from Yangon at 5:30 pm, Yangon-Mandalay special train will leave Yangon at 7:15 pm, and Yangon-Pyay special train will depart from Yangon at 1 pm.

Passengers can buy a ticket by presenting an Identification card. The tickets fee is set at 3,000 kyats for ordinary class and 5,000 kyats for uppers class per seat. People can buy the tickets at the ticket counter of Myanma railway station in front of Wazira (၀ဇီရာ) cinema between 7 am to 3 pm.
