N. Korea Kim call for war preps

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has replaced the country’s top general and issued directives for heightened military preparations and weapons production, Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Thursday.

Kim’s statements came during a meeting of the Central Military Commission, where he emphasized countermeasures against unnamed adversaries. The replaced Chief of the General Staff, Pak Su Il, was replaced by General Ri Yong Gil, tasked with expanding weapons production capacity, KCNA said.
