The new Israeli government held its first meeting on Sunday night, shortly after Israel's parliament narrowly approved the new coalition government, ending the 12-year rule of Benjamin Netanyahu as Prime Minister.

Naftali Bennett, a former ally of Netanyahu turned rival, was sworn into office as Prime Minister after a 60-59 vote. Promising to try to heal a divided nation, Bennett will preside over a fragile coalition comprised of eight parties with deep ideological differences.
