New Year Day: Charitable activities on the auspicious day

The Ministry of Border Affairs held Fish Releasing Ceremony at Mingalar Lake in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday, the 1st day of 1386 Myanmar New Year.
The ceremony was graced with the presence of Union Minister Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and wife, Deputy Minister and wife, permanent secretary and wife, Director General, Deputy Directors General and their wives and staff family members.
During the ceremony the Union Minister and wife, and party released a total of 1,500 fingerlings to the Mingalar Lake. Then, respect paying ceremony to elder persons was held at the Ministry and a total of 18 elder persons who aged 75 and above attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, the Union Minister and party paid respect to the elder persons and presented gifts to them and one of the elder persons delivered words of appreciation. Then, the Union Minister and party cordially greeted the elder persons.
