North Korea expands solar panel system

North Korea is increasing solar energy production, state media reported on Monday.

A video showed solar panels installed on buildings around the city of Pyongyang. The natural energy power system will be set up in more places to help the country's electricity production, electrician said. Leader Kim Jong Un has called for greater use of renewable energy as part of his drive for self-sufficiency as sanctions have ratcheted higher in response to the country's nuclear and missile programs.
