At NYSE, Philippine president encourages investors

Philippine president Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. addressed investors at the New York Stock Exchange Monday. Marcos praised the economic, investment and other business opportunities in his country before ringing the closing bell at the stock exchange.

Ferdinand Marcos Jr., President of the Philippines said "For investors doing business in the Philippines is an opportunity to reap the benefits of a vibrant economy. We are proud to share that. We recently enacted policies to further liberalize our economy and welcome more foreign investment to our shores."

Marcos said the country is ripe for foreign investment and said he expects to have a stronger gross domestic product standing before his term ends in 2028.
