Opening ceremony: MARUMEX was opened on 5th November

The opening ceremony of 1th MYANMAR-RUSSIA MARITIME SECURITY EXERCISE (MARUMEX) was held at MITT on 5th November and attended by the Commander In Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung, Commander In Chief of Russian Navy Admiral Nikolai A.EVMENOV, Senior navy officials from both countries, Russian Federation Military Attaché and invited guests.
First, the Commander In Chief (Navy) and Commander In Chief of Russian Navy took the salute of the parade companies of both countries and gave salute the national flags of two countries by playing national anthems.
Next, the Commander In Chief (Navy) and Commander In Chief of Russian Navy conducted giving opening remarks, exchanging memorable gift commemorating the exercise, announcing the opening of 1th MYANMAR-RUSSIA MARITIME SECURITY EXERCISE and posed for the documentary photo.
At the MYANMAR-RUSSIA MARITIME SECURITY EXERCISE (MARUMEX), the fighter jets, helicopters and warships from Tatmadaw (Navy) and Tatmadaw (Air) combining with warships and helicopters of Russian Federation Navy will do the exercises to Defense the enemies from air, sea and under the sea and the maritime security exercises.
During the maritime security exercise, the officers and ranks from the navies of the two countries will participate, it’s learnt.
