Peace Process: Peace Talks Team, KNU/KNLA (PC) meet

The Peace Talks Team of the Government and a peace delegation led by Chairman of the Karen National Liberation Army (Peace Council) KNU/KNLA (PC) Saw Htaw Lay held the 2nd day meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday. 

The meeting was attended by State Administration Council Member National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee [NSPNC] Chairman Union Minister at the Government Office (1) Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, in his capacity as leader of the Peace Talks Team, Council Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung, Chairman of the KNU/KNLA (PC) Saw Htaw Lay, Vice-Chair Dr. Naw Kapaw Htoo and Central Executive Committee Member Saw Maung Maung.

This 2nd day meeting focused on the agreements of Part 1/2/3 of Union Accord and table-2 in Part 3 and also the findings of the analysis team of the NSPNC.

They also discussed the peace and development affairs and signed the agreements received in three-day sessions. Chairman of the KNU/KNLA (PC) Saw Htaw Lay and the Peace Talks Team Leader Lt-Gen Yar Pyae made conclusion remarks and gave the record books marking the Diamond Jubilee Union Day and Myanmar Encyclopedia volume 1 published by the Ministry of Information and gifts.
