People slowly back to work as new cases decline

Workers in Beijing have slowly been returning to their offices with masks on and disinfectant in hand as new cases of COVID-19 continue to decline. 

China on Monday reported 40 new cases over the past 24 hours, the lowest level since it began publishing nationwide figures on January 20, and 22 new fatalities. Traffic on Beijing's metro system was still low on Monday, with vacant seats and empty cars typically full during the rush hour. China has now recorded 80,735 total cases, among which 19,016 remain in treatment and 58,600 have been released.
