Preparations for SEA Games: MOSYA Union Minister met with Sports Federations

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan on Thursday met with officials of Myanmar Sports Federations to grab achievements in the 31st SEA Games.

The Union Minister discussed that all must cooperate in developing the sports sectors while the presidents and vice-presidents of respective sports federations make efforts in accordance with the aims and objectives of the federations.

The staff of the ministry are also instructed to work together for development of the country’s sports sector. Myanmar will compete in 20 sports in the 31st SEA Games, and those who grab gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded 30 million, 20 million and 10 million kyats respectively.

The Union Minister later presented cash prizes to the medals winners of the 19th Asian Billiards Championship and 37th Asian Men’s Snooker Championship.

He gave 1 million kyats cash prizes each to the third prize winners in the 19th Asian Billiards Championship and the 37th Asian Men’s Snooker Championship held in Qatar in March 2022.
