Preparations Underway: 8th anniversary ceremony of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement

A ceremony marking the 8th anniversary of the signing of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) will take place at the Myanmar International Convention Center II (MICC II) in Nay Pyi Taw on October 15th.

On Wednesday, Chairman of the Leading Committee for Organizing the NCA 8th Anniversary, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, and officials inspected the preparations being made at MICC II.

They oversaw the preparations at the facade of MICC II, where the ribbon-cutting ceremony and unveiling ceremony will take place, as well as the commemorative booths of the Ministry of Border Affairs, the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, and the Ministry of Information.

They also observed the rehearsal of national races' cultural dance troupes and dance troupes from the Fine Arts Department under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, and Myanma Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information.

They also inspected the preparations in the Plenary Hall where the ceremony will be held, which included the installation of LED boards, electricity, and audio systems, providing necessary instructions.
