Press Conference: SAC Information Team Held Press Briefing

The Information Team of the State Administration Council held the press conference at the Ministry of Information on Wednesday.
Leader of the Information Team Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun explained the facts included in the speeches made by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on the 18-months anniversary of the State Administration Council as well as the coordination meeting of the work performances of the Union Government and the ceremony for disbursement of loan from the separate fund.
For the peace process, the Maj-Gen explained that cordial discussions have been made with ten EAOs, and agreements have been signed that have reached during the discussions. He added that the second round of discussion with the EAOs is planned during the next month. For the international relations, he explained the visit of theSpecial Envoy of the Secretary-General on Myanmar Noeleen Heyzerto Myanmar, bilateral relations between Myanmar and Russia, Myanma Tatmadaw participation at International Army Games and 3rd CISM World Cadet Games, friendly relations with the neighbouring countries and the relations with the regional organization ASEAN.
The Maj-Gen also explained the efforts for education opportunities for the youths, the destructive and terrorist acts committed by the NUG and PDF. It was followed by the explanation of Member of the Union Election Commission U Khin Maung Oo.
He explained about the action being taken to those involved in the election fraud during the 2020 General Election, and the preparation measures for the upcoming election, including the compiling of voter lists. Then, Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, UEC member U Khin Maung Oo and officials replied to queries raised by media.
