Producing High-Quality Cotton: SG Inspects Tatmadaw Textile Factory (Meiktila)

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing together with the Joint-Secretary of the Council Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers and officials inspected Tatmadaw Textile Factory (Meiktila) in Mandalay Region on Wednesday.

At the meeting hall of the factory, an official reported on implementations on the guidance of the SAC Chairman the Commander-in-Chief’s visit in December, the history of the factory, manufacturing of cottons, agricultural and livestock for the welfare of the staffs, trial run for producing 2/80 cottons in local and test-run of machine. In his response, to give necessary instructions, the Senior General enquired about conditions for producing high-quality cotton and linen with domestically produced cotton, conditions that will be able to meet the needs of cotton and textiles needed in micro, small and medium industries when the 2/80 cotton can be produced by the factory and conditions that will improve the quality of the machines at the factory.

The Senior General also inspected quality of uniform linens and cottons produced by the factory and provided cash assistance for the factory workers.
