Providing Assistance: Relief supplies for cyclone hit areas transported to Sittwe

The Tatmadaw is carrying out the necessary relief tasks by sending relief and rescue teams to the cyclone affected areas.

Moreover, foods and relief items donated by Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, and Air) families and generous donors as well as items provided by the National Disaster Management Committee, are being transported by the Tatmadaw aircrafts, helicopters and vessels.

To carry out the rescue and rehabilitation tasks in disaster affected areas, the Tatmadaw aircrafts carrying fire brigade members, relief aids, school bags and uniforms left from Nay Pyi Taw Airport to Sittwe Airport for three times on Sunday.

Similarly, the staffs of the Myanmar Post and Telecommunicationsunder the Ministry of Transport and Communications,health workers, responsible officials from ASEAN embassies based in Myanmar, departmental staffs and military personnel who will assist in the rehabilitation tasks, monk accessories,clothes,blanket,mosquito nets, medicines,dried noodles,communication equipment,tarpaulin sheets, rice bags, edible oil,potato and onion,canned fish,fish paste,pickled tea and assorted fried beans,construction materials,solar,battery, inverter and relief equipment have been transported for 8 times by military aircrafts from Mingalardon Airport of Yangon to Sittwe Airport.

The relief items have been received by responsible officials and will be provided to affected victims without lacking any individual.
