The railway sector aims to boost the growth of cargo transport, particularly international intermodal routes, in the coming year. This mode of transportation is beneficial for moving large quantities of goods, offering reliable transit times and cost-effective solutions.

The Vietnam Transport Development and Strategy Institute predicts that the demand for international intermodal rail transportation could reach 8 to 9 million tonnes per year by 2030. Recently, the Ministry of Transport has approved plans to enhance the capacity of the railway industry for international intermodal activities.

In the future, three stations will be able to handle customs procedures for exports. This improvement not only saves time and costs for businesses but also attracts foreign companies.
