Redesigning For Better Tourism: APEC Symposium 2022 Held Virtually

For redesigning the next phase of better tourism, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Symposium 2022 organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand is held virtually from 25th to 26th January.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. HtayAung joined the Symposium via Video Conferencing. The symposium aims to discuss the current implementations of tourism development among those who are undertaking tourism industry and policy makers, boosting tourism industry in future and recommendations on tourism industry policies.

The meeting also focuses on adopting objectives for future tourism, polices for necessary programs for the transition of tourism industry, policies for responsible tourism and matters for tourism promotion.

The Union Minister and officials from the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism discussed plan to adopt projects for the sustainability of tourism industry and better policies for managements, impact on tourism market due to the documents required for travel and addressing the effects of the pandemic on sharing businesses. The second session of Symposium will be held today afternoon.
