Regional Progress: Rendering health care services, direct selling shops inspected

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win together with officials visited Bago General Hospital on 21st August and looked into rendering health care services to retired service personnel with the arrangement of Bago Region Government and participation of departmental officials, town elders, social organizations and volunteer groups in the activity.

The Chief Minister and party encouraged the retired civil servants who were receiving medical treatment. With the arrangement of Bago Region Government, monthly medicine fee is provided free of charge to the retired service personnel and the basic food stuffs are also sold with reasonable price.

After that, the Region Chief Minister together officials viewed selling of rice, cooking oil, meat and vegetables by the direct selling shops of self-growers, breeders and producers with the leadership of the Regional Government to be able to buy by the customers with fair price and to be stable commodity price in the region. The Chief Minister and party also cordially greeted the buyers and provided the needs.

The Chief Minister called for officials to cooperate with relevant departments not to delay in transportation the goods from the regions of producing goods to the regions of consumption and selling the goods directly to consumers by connecting with relevant merchant associations in distributing consumer goods.

With the arrangement of Bago region government, the direct selling shops have been opened starting 17th June by linking with relevant self-growers, breeders and producers and the shops are selling the goods daily at the Myoma markets in 28 townships of the region.
