Regions & State and Boxing Tournament: SAC members awarded Championship trophy and medals

Aiming to raise the standard of boxing sport and bring out the next generation of athletes, the final bouts of the 2023 49th Inter-State and Region Boxing Tournament were held at Wunna Theikdi Gymnasium in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 11th October and was attended by SAC members Daw Dwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Dr. Hmu Htan, Dr. Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, U Shwe Kyein, U Yan Kyaw, the Union ministers, deputy ministers, departmental officials, Chairman and members of Myanmar Boxing Federation, administrators and coaches of the teams, athletes, families of personnel of the Ministry, boxing sport enthusiasts.

The final fights of men’s 48, 51, 57, 63.5, 71 and 80-kilo classes under the No 6 events were held followed by women’s events of 46, 57 and 63-kilo classes. An awarding ceremony was held after the final games and fighters with various weight classes were awarded by SAC members, Union ministers and officials.
