Religious Ceremony in Mon State: Robe Offering and Abhidhamma Chanting

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein and many other officials participated in the ceremony to offer Kathina robe at the Dhamma Vihari Monastery in Mawlamyaing Township on Monday. This religious ceremony began with paying respects and offering the Kathina robe and offertories to members of the Sangha.
On the same day, the Chief Minister and officials paid homage to the Sutaungpyae Pagoda in Kyaikmaraw Township and offered flowers, oil lamps, water and gold leaves. There, they also listened to the Abhidhamma Chanting and offered offertories to members of the Sangha.
