Repatriation Process: 55 Myanmar Nationals Brought Back Home

55 Myanmar nationals who stranded in Chinese-Taipei amidst COVID-19 pandemic were brought back to Myanmar by China Airline Cargo and arrived at Yangon International Airport on Thursday.

On arrival at the airport, officials of the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region Government helped them for the immigration process, medical screening and 21-day facility quarantine.

In line with the instruction of the National Level Central Committee for Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinates with the relevant Myanmar Embassies/Consul-General Office and the respective Ministries for the repatriation of Myanmar nationals in abroad.

The Ministry has repatriated a total of 7,142 Myanmar nationals till now.
