Rescue teams navigate the flooded streets in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil after an unprecedented deluge hit the city on Monday.

The rain has abated, but flooding continues its assault on southern Brazil. Since the unprecedented deluge started last week, at least 85 people have died, 111 are missing and more than 150,000 were ejected from their homes by floods and mudslides in Rio Grande do Sul state, authorities said.
