Russia Trip: Union Minister attends World Construction Championship

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant attended the opening ceremony of the Third World Construction Championship held at Expo Forum Exhibition and Convention Centre in the Russian Federation on October 17. On October 18, the Union Minister and party attended the Smart City Conference, Russia-ASEAN Digital Space.

The conference discussed efforts to establish smart cities bridging the gaps between Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and urban development strategies through technologies, information, promotion of social standards, urbanization and effective services by creating innovative cities with the use of ICT and other technologies, unity and cooperation to build better social environment, living standard and safe and prosperous future.

The Union Minister and party also attended the New Times Technology; Construction Site of the Future Conference on the same day and observed the booths displayed at the Expo Forum of the Third World Construction Championship and competitions.
