San Francisco mayor visits China

San Francisco mayor London Breed and a delegation of San Francisco-based business and community leaders were in Shenzhen as part of an eight-day visit on Monday. The trip includes stops in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai where she will celebrate the 45th anniversary of San Francisco and Shanghai being “Sister Cities”.
She met with entrepreneurs from Shenzhen, to discuss cooperation opportunities in artificial intelligence, life sciences and bio-tech.The trip also had another special mission: to try to get a panda from China for the San Francisco Zoo. She also met with executives of multiple Chinese airline companies to pitch for more direct flights to San Francisco.
