Science and Technology sector: Cooperation between MTU and KUST launched

The launching ceremony for the prospects and opportunities of implementing cooperation between Mandalay Technological University (MTU) under the Department of Advanced Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) with Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2020) was held at Thirimingalar Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 28th August.

First, the Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw gave an opening remark. Next, the Director of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar Mr. Zhang Zhonghua and Vice Chair of the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation National Coordination Unit Myanmar U Win Zayyar Tun also gave the remarks.

By closely cooperating between Mandalay Technological University (MTU) and the Kunming University of Science and Technology and implementing the project of “closely cooperating in Science and Technology sector among the universities in the Mekong-Lanchang region” it aims at human resource development, strengthening life-long learning among the Mekong-Lancang community and leading the cooperation in the research and commodity production and implementing the establishment of partnership and communication network among the students, providing teaching experiences on the culture between the two countries, opening window for the collaborative research and the enhancement of interesting in the global issues of the students and the future cooperation will be enabled to discuss.
