Secretary Austin welcomes Singapore counterpart

U.S. Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, hosted his counterpart from Singapore at the Pentagon on Wednesday. Austin welcomed Ng Eng Hen, Minister of Defense for the Republic of Singapore.

U.S. Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin said "I'd like to personally thank you for your support during the Afghanistan evacuation and multi-role tanker transport. Singapore armed forces personnel that you provided help relocate more than 2000 people who were in need."

"As you know, the Indo-Pacific is seeing a lot of change and challenges. Our partnership will remain central to preserving and expanding the region's security and prosperity. So I'm very much looking forward to our conversation that we began in in July and will continue today. "<<< Austin visited Singapore in July and U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris was there in August.
